We do not accept payment for placement, and we have not personally used either product to run a stationery or invitation business.

A stationery or invitation design business runs on proofs and revisions more than most service businesses this cluster covers: a client approves a design, asks for three small changes, approves again, and the whole cycle repeats before a single item goes to print. How each tool handles proofing, package line items, and legally binding sign off on a final version matters more here than in a single flat fee service.

Pricing and features verified directly against Dubsado's public pricing page on 2026-08-26. Where they actually differ for a stationery designer

Dubsado's proofing and subcontract combination is built for exactly this workflow. A client uploads feedback directly onto a design proof, and a subcontract can require their sign off on the final version before it goes to print. That two step approval, feedback then binding sign off, is closer to how a stationery order actually moves than a generic file attachment and email thread.

HoneyBook edits faster when a quantity changes late. Stationery and invitation orders often change quantity right up to the print deadline, a guest count moves by ten, a client adds an extra thank you card design. HoneyBook's line items are directly editable in place; Dubsado requires opening a dropdown and a separate edit step for the same change. On a design with a dozen line items, that adds up across a season.

Dubsado's free trial is capped by project count, not by the calendar. Three full projects, worked start to finish at your own pace, is a better test for a stationery designer's actual proof and revision cycle than a fixed number of trial days, since a single order can take weeks to move through rounds of approval.

HoneyBook has the mobile app if you approve proofs from your phone. Stationery designers who review client feedback between print runs or on the go get a fully featured app from HoneyBook. Dubsado is browser only.
